Total Hydrogen Solutions Selects American Honda Motor Company Inc. for Fuel Cell Hydrogen Generator

Houston, TX – October 20, 2026 – Total Hydrogen Solutions, a division of Pneumatic and Hydraulic Company, LLC (PHC), and a leading designer and integrator of comprehensive hydrogen energy systems, has chosen Honda’s Fuel Cell Module to integrate into their hydrogen generator fleet.

Announced at RE+ Texas (renewable energy) conference in Houston, TX, the fuel cell back up generator (FCBG-H60) is the newest integration of Honda’s Fuel Cell Module in the United States.

Housed in a modular enclosure, the FCBG-H60 delivers 60 kW of clean, quiet power using a single Honda Fuel Cell Module. Offering remote hydrogen storage integration, and HVAC/insulated housing for extreme climates, the stationary hydrogen-powered backup generator is designed for critical infrastructure, defense, and commercial operations. The unit is engineered for quick deployment, low maintenance, and compatibility with grid and off-grid environments, enabled by remote access through touchscreens and a cloud-based performance analytics dashboard.

In addition, the unit offers a trailer-mounted design for temporary/rental deployments for emergencies and temporary environments. Designed to align with NFPA 2 requirements and informed by UL 9540A testing criteria, the system mitigates risk of extreme heating hazards.

The FCBG-H60 has also been approved for and listed on the California Air Resources Board (CARB) & Clean Off-Road Equipment Voucher Incentive Project (CORE) platform. The listing makes the hydrogen fuel cell generator eligible for CORE incentives, helping reduce the upfront cost of deploying zero-emission power equipment in California.

Integrating Honda’s Hydrogen Fuel Cell into this generator package enables power that is cleaner and more readily available than traditional methods – it progresses the opportunity to bring lower emission energy sources to industries throughout the United States and beyond.

“Honda’s decarbonization mission is about reducing environmental impact everywhere Honda technology can reach, including power generation, and our investment in fuel cell technology is helping create new solutions for grid-constrained and hard-to-electrify sites. Collaborations like this one with Total Hydrogen Solutions are bringing reliable hydrogen-powered generators into real-world use today and demonstrating hydrogen’s potential as a practical power solution,” said David Perzynski, Assistant Manager, Hydrogen Carbon Neutral Solutions, Honda.

The sister company to PHC, Total Energy Solutions, has been an all-encompassing generator partner for industrial and commercial customers since 2006 – installing, servicing and maintaining more than 4,000+ generators across the U.S. through sales and rental contracts.

“This collaboration between Total Hydrogen Solutions and Honda is complimented by our long-standing generator expertise, and aligns with our proven track record of pushing energy forward,” said Bret Adams, Owner, Total Hydrogen Solutions. “Their technology enables us to expand our generators beyond legacy natural gas, propane, and diesel applications to hydrogen in a sustainable and efficient way. We are grateful to bring this hybrid energy system to market in 2026 with the collaborative spirit of the Honda team.”
